Experiential History programs that not only put participants in the shoes of leaders at crucial moments in history, but also allow them to walk where they walked.  Unique activities delivered along the way connect the lessons learned with the participants current leadership challenges.

 

Target Audience:  Leaders at any level from any field, history lovers, and anyone looking for training that does not require a digital device!

Leadership Lessons from the Battle of Malvern Hill: Victory or Defeat?

 

Is it possible to earn a win without achieving a victory? Why is it so important for me to understand the existing landscape? Am I making an honest assessment of my situation? How can I make sure my plan actually works?

Find the answers and apply them to your own leadership

challenges as we study one of Virginia's finest Civil War's

battlefields.  The Battle of Malvern Hill marks the end of the

Seven Days Battles of 1862 and provides a perfect backdrop

for bringing leadership lessons to life.

most crucial Civil War's battle sites.  The events at Drewry's

Bluff marked a decisive moment in the early days of the

war and create an opportunity for reflection on today's

leadership challenges

Leadership Lessons from the Battle of North Anna: An Upset in the Making

 

The events at the North Anna River can teach todays leaders much about their current challenges.  Consider: Are you reading the current situation correctly?  Do you have the vision and resources to adapt and take the offensive? Is your team ready for the challenges ahead? Can you keep it together long enough to weather the storm? 

 

Find insights into your own leadership challenges as we

study one of Virginia’s most  well-preserved and under-

rated Civil War battle sites.  Thanks to the American

Battlefield Trust, this journey through the battlefield

includes the rare opportunity to visit the grounds of

the Ellington Farm and the historic Fox House.  This

property, which played a significant role in the battle, is not

typically open to the public.
